In addition to calling Disney Studios Australia home, Sydney also boasts a key backlot, the former Sydney Water Reservoir at Potts Hill. Located 15 kilometers south-west of the city, the reservoir site has been transformed into a secure 22-acre backlot option, that can meet the needs of most large international productions. The site hosted Sir Ridley Scott’s futuristic Alien: Covenant, Marvel Studio’s Thor: Love and Thunder and 20th Century Studios Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Catherine Reichel celebrates 25 years with Disney Studios Australia. Cath started at the studio in 1999 in what was then known as ‘The Fox Shop’. In April 2000 she moved into the security gatehouse where she has been the face of Disney Studios, welcoming visitors, productions and screen tenants. Congratulations to Cath on this wonderful achievement. We are so fortunate to have you as part of our team!

We were honoured to host Redkite for their annual Red Bag pack. Our film workshop space was filled with volunteers, who packed an incredible 1,000 bags of essential items needed for an unexpected hospital stay.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, families often end up in hospital with the clothes on their back, sometimes not returning home for weeks. Redkite’s Red Bag is filled with all the essentials needed for an unexpected stay – a big bag of love for the families we support. 👨👩👧❤️ Last week, volunteers from MA Services Group, MPA, BOC South Pacific, GT-EX , ThermoFisher Scientific, Viva Energy Retail, Coles Group and JB Hi-Fi came together to help us pack 1,000 bags filled with toiletries, blankets, teddy bears and info packs. Their generous support ensures families know someone is thinking of them, right from that very first day in hospital. Thank you so much to all of our incredible volunteers, and to our friends at Disney Studios Australia for hosting us!
