Bringing movie magic 📽️ into hospitals. Last weekend, our long-term charity partner MediCinema opened its brand new cinema at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool, and they launched with a very exclusive screening of Walt Disney Animation Studios' epic animated adventure Moana 2. Not only did the children and families get to see a special recorded message from the cast, but Moana herself brought some movie magic to proceedings, greeting children and young people as they arrived. We provided significant funding towards the creation of this new, specially designed cinema, allowing the children at the hospital to attend screenings in their beds or wheelchairs, and helping MediCinema to bring moments of joy to patients, their families, and the staff who care for them. Nine-year old Nancy summed up the event perfectly from her hospital bed: “It was boss!” Films truly have the power to connect us all! Disney employees marked an incredible milestone last week as they celebrated the christening of the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet and were named honorary godparents of the #DisneyTreasure! 🚢 Across the coasts, the excitement was palpable with special activations that brought the spirit of adventure to life. Employees across campuses enjoyed stepping into the spotlight with themed props, step-and-repeat photo moments, themed commissary and drinks offered at participating commissaries, and more.
