🌎#InternationalMigrantsDay is a time to acknowledge and celebrate the vast contributions migrants bring to Australian workplaces, culture and society. We know diversity can be a powerful contributor to improved performance and profitability for Australian businesses. However, significant inequalities still exist, particularly affecting women from diverse cultural and racial (CARM) backgrounds. These challenges may be further compounded by intersectionality, as different aspects of a person’s identity can create overlapping forms of discrimination and marginalisation. 📊 The reality of our research shows: • 65% of CARM women face fewer career opportunities. • 75% feel underestimated, with others assuming they hold lower-status roles. • 61% experienced racism at work in the last two years. At DCA, we’re driving change through initiatives like the RISE Project, empowering CARM women to step into senior leadership roles, and the Counting Culture report, helping organisations unlock the full potential of cultural diversity. 📥Learn more about the RISE Project: https://ow.ly/S2n250Uo2mR 📥Learn more about Counting Culture: https://ow.ly/YKHu50Uo2mS #InternationalMigrantsDay #InclusionMatters #InclusiveLeadership #DiversityAndInclusion

"For organisations ready to champion inclusivity, the return on investment is clear: diverse teams bring fresh perspectives, unique insights, and a deeper connection to the communities they serve." Rob Marshall highlights the need to break down barriers for people with disability in the workplace. And the numbers speak for themselves, as companies with diverse teams experience up to 30% higher profit margins and are better positioned to serve their communities. Our #DisabilityDataAtWork report, produced in collaboration with the Australian Disability Network helps organisations: ✔️ Create safe spaces for employees to share their disability status. ✔️ Identify and tackle barriers to inclusion. ✔️ Reap the benefits of diverse workplaces, including greater innovation and profitability. Feeling burnt out? You’re not alone. As the year draws to a close, many of us are feeling the strain. But burnout isn’t just about stress or long hours, as research shows it’s deeply connected to how inclusive a workplace is. Marginalised people, such as First Nations and neurodivergent employees, face unique challenges that amplify risk of burnout. What can workplaces do? ✔️ Build cultures of psychological safety where employees feel valued and supported. ✔️ Provide flexibility to help balance work and personal commitments. ✔️ Address systemic barriers and ensure fair support for diverse employees. 💡 Read our blog to learn more: https://ow.ly/WN2x50UoJkQ Our CEO Lisa Annese and an expert panel also unpacked how burnout disproportionately affects marginalised people and how inclusive practices can reduce the impact.
