Last week our directors and staff gathered in #amazing Forbes for a quarterly Board Meeting. We took the opportunity to learn more about the Forbes Shire region and its tourism offering as part of a famil, visiting the following businesses and places of interest; ℹ Forbes Visitor Information Centre 🐎 Sculpture Down the Lachlan 🦆 Gum Swamp Wildlife Refuge 🍴 Forbes Sport & Recreation Club We also travelled to Condobolin to tour the new Lachlan Shire Visitor Precinct. Located alongside Utes in the Paddock and the Fallen Jockeys Memorial, and adjacent to the Sculpture Down the Lachlan entrance, the new Visitor Information Centre was part of a $10.1 million project to bolster tourism and transport in the Shire. Visiting these sites and speaking with local operators provided valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges that the two towns are currently experiencing, as well as visitor behaviour. Thank you to Nina Hooper from Forbes Shire Council and Robyn Ryan from Lachlan Shire Council for being our guides and sharing your comprehensive knowledge. #tourism #tourismbusiness #visitoreconomy #centralwestnsw #nsw #regionalnsw
