About us

For over 35 years, East Coast Apprenticeships (ECA) has been a driving force in providing quality apprenticeships and traineeships, fostering the growth of skilled tradespeople within local communities. As a community-focused Group Training Organisation, ECA extends its impact through transformative programs. This encompasses Pre-Apprenticeship Programs tailored for underemployed and underrepresented groups, including the Defence Trade Program, Multicultural Assistance Program, and Females in Trades (FIT) initiatives. These initiatives break down barriers, offering mentorship and support for individuals aspiring to pursue careers in the trades. ECA's commitment extends beyond placement; they advocate for the holistic development of their apprentices and trainees. Their dedicated Field Officers provide continuous support, delivering not only professional guidance but also nurturing social and emotional growth. At ECA, the focus is not just on shaping tradespeople but cultivating individuals who excel both in their craft and personal lives.

  • 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿: 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗵𝘀𝗲 🤝🔨👷♂️ Huge congratulations to Anthony Buhse, who recently completed his apprenticeship and stepped into June as a qualified Chippie! 🙌 Since beginning his apprenticeship in October 2020, Anthony has consistently demonstrated dedication and skill in the carpentry trade. From day one, his focus, reliability, and intelligence have marked him as a standout in the industry. Working with his long-term Host Employer, Chris Whyte from Whyte Trading Trust, Anthony quickly evolved into a highly skilled tradesman. Chris recognised his potential early on, describing him as a "man of action" who operates with the precision and responsibility of a young subcontractor. Throughout his apprenticeship, we've seen Anthony not only nominated for awards and selected as a finalist but also taking on more responsibility on-site and mentoring other apprentices along the way. Congratulations, Anthony! We look forward to seeing where your skills take you in your trade! All the best 🎉 📸 Enjoy a throwback video of Host Employer + Mentor, Chris chatting with Field Officer Brett Paull supporting Anthony’s 2023 award nomination and a few snaps from his recent completion date 😊
