🌱 Collaborating for good 🌱 At EcoBarista, we're about collaborating with our customers to make innovative, planet-friendly packaging solutions that are built for coffee. It feels fitting to end the year on a high note, sharing about our recent project with Pablo and Rusty's Coffee Roasters to reimagine recyclable coffee packaging. Together, we’ve developed the Mono PCR Soft Plastics Recyclable Coffee Bag made from post consumer recycled plastics (PCR) and designed to promote successful soft plastics recycling in the future. Why this bag matters ♻️ ✅ Reducing waste: Made from high-quality mono-materials for optimal recyclability, while stopping the cycle of low-grade plastics which are detrimental to recycling systems. ✅ Circular economy: Incorporates 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, giving materials a second life and reducing the need for virgin plastics. ✅ Designed for the future: Recyclable through programs like Reground and Terracycle, with the ARL “Check Locally” logo for council-specific options. Read more about the collaboration and the Pablo & Rusty's sustainability ethos here: https://lnkd.in/giwhWvNv This partnership highlights what’s possible when businesses align on purpose. Big news from us! We couldn't be more excited to join the B Corp family. 💚
I’m beyond proud to share that EcoBarista is officially a Certified B Corporation! Achieving BCorp status has been a long time coming, and it’s an incredible feeling to now be part of this global movement that’s committed to using business as a force for good. The BCorp certification process was no small feat. Our team has put in the hard work to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance and transparency. It’s a badge that shows our commitment to prioritising people and the planet right alongside profit, and we hope it gives our customers even greater confidence in us as a packaging partner that really has sustainability at the centre. From our beginnings back in 2012, the EcoBarista mission was simple: to make the coffee industry greener by offering cafes and roasters the most innovative, environmentally-friendly packaging solutions. This milestone confirms that we’re on the right track, but we know it’s just the beginning. In the next year, we’re working on plans to disrupt the coffee packaging space even further. Watch this space. To everyone who’s been part of this journey – our team, our customers, and our partners – a huge thank you. I’m so humbled and grateful for your support and can’t wait to see what the years ahead hold as we keep working together to make this industry better and more sustainable. #BCorp #Sustainability #EcoBarista #BetterBusiness

Kerbside recyclable kraft paper bags have made a bit of a wave in the coffee industry over the last year or so, and you may have seen quite a few roasters switch to this way of packaging their beans, including Everyday Coffee, Market Lane, Coffee Supreme, Seven Seeds and more. Due to its stellar sustainability credentials, we've just launched this bag in 500g and 1kg, alongside the OG 250g. Here's what to love (and consider carefully) about these bags! 💚

How do you design a cafe? ☕ We chatted to architect Andrew Chung from Best Cafe Designs and got his top tips when it comes to planning out a cafe space, with some being: ✅ Nail your coffee machine placement ✅ Lighting matters because people need to be able to see their food, and it can really change the vibe of a space ✅ Planning out your stations properly (ie. coffee, food, dishwashing) can make your operations way more efficient Head to the link to get more gold tips from Andrew! 👇

Get your daily brew from Bear Bones Coffee and feel good about it 😊 . The Brisbane roaster recently made the switch to our new home compostable cups, and we sat down for a chat about their last decade in business, what they've learned and how they're thinking our sustainability. 💚

Our *new* home compostable coffee cup is something we’ve been brewing for a while and it’s a great example of our approach to reimagine packaging for our cafe and roaster partners. Most of us want to enjoy a takeaway coffee now and then, and the reality is that we don’t always have our reusable cup on hand. This cup is our most circular second-best option to a reusable cup. Find out more at the link below! 💚
