One of our valued customers Thiess provided pink gloves for all workers and contractors at their Lake Vermont site, across their processing plant, to help raise much needed funds towards the Cancer Council. Our Team wore during the February Shutdown their pink gloves for Pink Glove Day to show their support towards the cause! During the week of 17th - 21st Feb over $5,000 was raised for the Cancer Council which will help assist in the delivery of services to many people in need. As a contract partner, we couldn't be more pleased to be a part of this fundraiser well done to the team at Lake Vermont and the efforts of everyone involved. Thiess, thank you for involving us. Over the course of the last few weeks, our Operational Teams have participated in a Mock Trial. We have found these mock-trials to be incredibly valuable to our teams. Many have come away with a new perspective on training and safety, and following rules and regulations. Here are some of our people’s testimonials; ‘We have to report any hazard straight away’ ‘We are liable for ours and everyone’s Safety’ ‘Safety is everyone’s problem.' This is a reminder to us all that Workplace incidents can happen at any time and can impact EVERYONE. The mock trial allows us to get a glimpse of what could happen in the event an incident occurs and if an individual would end up at trial. We commend our staff for the hard work they put into ensuring that we maintain a proactive and committed approach to not only their own safety but of those around us. #safety #mocktrial #learning #perspective

We are a ‘Spot something, Say something’ team who pride ourselves on our ability to remain safe on site, within our branches and in everyday life. We are often sharing our hazard identifications in meetings, conversations amongst staff and on site to ensure we keep everyone alert of any possible hazards they may encounter. Hazards are everywhere. So the more we talk about hazards and how to identify and take action before they become an incident, the better we get at staying safe and keeping everyone around us safe.
