It was a great day hosting our first school visit. We welcomed Year 10 students from Melton Specialist School to see the exciting progress at the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub while providing insights on what a career could look like in the renewables sector. Last weekend the Equis Australia team had the pleasure to host a community drop-in session for our proposed Jackson North Wind Farm.   It was a wonderful day for the team to answer questions and share insights about how this project will coexist with the community.   Jackson North Wind Farm will have a generating capacity of up to 600MW and will provide Queensland with economic, social and environmental benefits including: 🍃 Powering up to 362,000 Queensland homes with clean energy. 👷🏽♂️ Creating up to 366 direct jobs, comprising of 350 construction jobs and 16 operational jobs. ⚽ Funding local community benefit programs. 🌏 Support Queensland in achieving its renewable energy targets of 70% by 2032 and 80% by 2035.   Thank you to everyone who came out to Noonga Hall for your support and interest in our project!

Yesterday we joined the SEC Victoria at the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub (MREH) for the arrival of Tesla's Megapacks as work at the big battery project progresses.   MREH is the SEC’s first investment, and in partnership with Equis Australia, is playing a key role in Victoria’s energy transition.   We look forward bringing this much-needed energy storage online next year.

Equis Australia would like to thank the Tasmanian government for declaring our Bell Bay Wind Farm a major project. We look forward to completing our technical assessments and engaging with stakeholders to support the project’s development approval. The proposed Bell Bay Wind Farm (224MW) is expected to power up to 104,000 Tasmanian Homes, create up to 192 direct jobs and provide funding for local community benefit programs. 

With construction well underway, Equis Australia recently had the pleasure of showing the SEC Victoria Board around the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub (MREH) site. MREH Phase 1 is the SEC’s pioneer investment, and in partnership with Equis Australia is leading Victoria’s energy transition. Partnering with the SEC Victoria to deliver MREH Phase 1 has ensured a rapid, cost-effective construction program, working to enhance Victoria’s grid and power price stability by the end of 2025. We look forward to welcoming the SEC Victoria Board back to the MREH site soon! The Equis Australia team was lucky to tour the Wilson Transformer Company head office and see the power transformer manufacturing facility last week.   It was a valuable learning experience for the Equis team to see each manufacturing process behind the scenes.   Thank you to the Wilson Transformer Company team for having us!

Road to renewables. This roadway will eventually carry 444 battery units into place to start storing and discharging renewable, affordable, reliable energy. Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub, SEC’s first investment with Equis Australia will store enough energy to power up to 200,000 homes during peak times.
