Karen (BA Psy, ANutr, ANS), is an accredited nutritionist specializing in supporting you to create a balance with food so that what you eat is both enjoyable and used effectively as fuel for your body.   • Why Do You Still Crave Food After Eating? You’ve just finished a meal, but the cravings are back? 😫 Here’s why this happens and how to fix it: ✨Hormonal Imbalance When hormones like ghrelin ("hunger hormone") and leptin ("fullness hormone") aren’t properly regulated, your body can misinterpret fullness signals. This is often caused by stress, poor sleep, or an unbalanced diet. Solution: Balance meals with protein, healthy fats, and fibre to keep hunger hormones steady and cravings at bay. ✨Post-Weight Loss Surgery Adjustments Bariatric surgery can alter digestion and satiety signals, sometimes leaving you feeling unsatisfied even after eating. Solution: Work with a specialist (i.e. nutritionist) to create a post-surgery meal plan tailored to your new digestive needs. ✨Undereating or Eating Too Fast Skipping meals or eating too quickly confuses your body, making it harder for it to register that you’ve eaten enough. Solution: Prioritise regular, nutrient-rich meals and practice mindful eating - slow down and savour every bite. Feeling full and satisfied is possible.
