You're wrong if you think women's health 'only affects women.' 👀 "Women's health impacts all of us." Let's talk about it. ▶︎ Women are still the primary caregivers in households. ▶︎ 4 in 5 healthcare purchase decisions in households are made by women. ▶︎ But women spend 25% more time in ill health than men. ▶︎ Historically, solutions and research were not centred on women. ▶︎ Closing the women's health gap is a trillion dollar opportunity. 🤪 ▶︎ But, closing it has compelling benefits for her and everyone around her. 👏 ▶︎ Boosted quality of life means = boosted career outcomes = better business input = more successful businesses. This benefits many families and the economy. 💰 ▶︎ Better health = better care giver for those around her = better family health = healthier population. I reckon we deserve to live life as the healthiest and happiest versions of ourselves. 👯♂️ "When a women is healthy, society is healthy." Thanks Priya Bathija & Anushay Hossain for the enriching discussion you had on 'The Pain Gap' podcast re the US healthcare system and what can be done to change it. 🎙️ I couldn't help but quote 2 of your statements around the importance of women's health. ------- Follow me, Anna Maria Insam 🚀 on my journey as the founder of KLEO Health. "Health is wealth" is not a cliche. The wealthiest a person can be is to be healthy. Over the years, women have faced diverse health challenges that has reduced their lifespan, productivity and overall well being. More dangerous is the reality that a larger number of women remain unaware of the fact that they could be victims of a variety of health challenges. Lifestyle and habits aside, the environment and other factors could be significant contributors as well. Climate change, not an exception. The 2024 impact-edition of THE HEALTH CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN, is driven towards a holistic approach to connect, provide and equip women with relevant information about their health, bodies and wellness via partnership with seasoned medical practitioners in the health sector in addressing an INCLUSIVE APPROACH TO WOMEN'S HEALTH. •Date: 24th - 26th July, 2024 •Time: 8:00pm Daily (WAT) •Venue: Google Meet Platform There's a waitlist community prepared just for you: https://lnkd.in/dpCpAzHw #THCFW2024 #InclusiveApproachToWomensWellness

In this eye-opening chat, I sat down with the wonderful Kristin Stovern DNP, WHNP, CNM, FACNM to talk all things women's health. We dug deep into what it really means to be healthy, looking at how it's not just about our bodies but also our minds, relationships, and the world around us. Kristin explained how a woman's monthly cycle is like a signal for her overall well-being, affecting how she feels and functions. We also tackled some tough issues, like how women's health isn't always taken seriously, especially in places like the US where there's a big problem with maternal health. Kristin encouraged women to stand up for themselves and break down the barriers that hold them back in healthcare. We learned that simple things like moving around and getting some sunshine can do wonders for our health, along with acknowledging and supporting each other through the highs and lows of life. As we wrapped up our chat, Kristin left us with a powerful message: "by taking charge of our health and supporting each other, we can build a brighter, healthier future for women everywhere". Women's health is a topic I'm thrilled to see trending on LinkedIn recently. So how can we support women's health in our organizations? 1. Listen. Embrace women's health stories, fostering candid discussions in a safe space. 2. Educate. Understand women-specific health issues and healthcare gaps. 3. Advocate. Champion policies prioritizing women's health across all platforms. 4. Invest. Boost organizations and research focused on women's health. Even small contributions matter. Remember, supporting women's health is not just a women's issue. It's a societal one. We all benefit from healthier, stronger communities, and our businesses benefit from balanced, diverse, healthy teams. #WomensHealth #Health #Wellbeing #EmployeeBenefits

Peak performance isn't just about what we do - it's about understanding who we are. And as a woman in corporate America, it's refreshing to finally have open conversations about how our unique physiology impacts our every corner of our lives - and how we can use that knowledge to thrive. I have been trying to understand and navigate the complexities of women's health for several years now and I won't be the first to share how difficult of a journey it is. As if trying to listen to a body that changes week by week isn't hard enough, it becomes even more difficult when this topic isn't appreciated nearly as much as it should be in our healthcare systems or in professional work environments. Too often, women are given band-aid answers to their health problems and too often our health challenges are cast aside because "it's just PMS, drink some water" or "it's just cramps, take some Tylenol". Thank you to the Women @ BigHand ERG and Baz Moffat for bringing this topic to light and showing women that their health isn't something to be ignored or minimized. And thank you for affirming what women have long known: our health isn't a footnote - it's fundamental to our success! The future of our health has to be collaborative. In a fragmented system, women cobble together their own relief with social media, forums, long wait times for specialists and self experimentation. Teams that support athletes through physical and mental support, work together to make the person the best version on and off the field. Here is how having a health team can help women in midlife: ⏱️ Resolving more than one symptom at a time. ⏱️ More eyes means more solutions. ⏱️ Early detection of a bigger issue. Until I was in my mid-20s, I thought having a team of experts on speed dial was normal. Now I am building that team and technology behind it at Vitelle What has been your best resource for your changing health? #womenshealth #longevity #femalebodies #healthspan #athletes
