The Movember challenge took over GLG this past month - it was a powerful time to raise awareness, break down stigma, and support men’s health in ways that truly resonate. Our team embraced the cause wholeheartedly; engaging in mental health sessions from HALT Hope Assistance Local Tradies, having fun with a “MOW-stache” competition, and decorating a moustache-clad fleet that travelled across our service areas. It’s been inspiring to see how these simple acts have sparked important conversations and shined a light on issues impacting so many. Cricket season is here and our GLG team has been hard at work preparing and maintaining pitches to get the season underway. Multiple spring renovations were completed on cricket centre and training pitches, which involved scarifying, mowing, top dressing, levelling, fertilising and irrigating. With these facilities now being rolled out each week for training and matches, our specialist sports team knows it requires unique attention to deliver winning results all season long. It is always a joy to see how spaces flourish over time and watch a project come to fruition. Last year, we planted over 1200 trees along residential verges in Adelaide. Since then, we have been actively maintaining and helping these trees grow - and look how they’ve come to life over the past year! This month, our GLG team came together to shine a light on breast cancer. Across Australia, our team wore pink, hosted bbqs, raised funds, and took the time to focus on those impacted by breast cancer in our local community. The 2024 Parks and Leisure Australia National Conference gave us the opportunity to once again offer our exclusive lounge area, complete with the popular Formula 1 and Grand Turismo racing experience.
