A huge congratulations to our friends at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre who took home Venue of the Year at the inaugural Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) Awards last night. 💜 MCEC has proudly supported the Good Friday Appeal for the past 10 years, demonstrating its commitment to the local community.

Thanks to support from the Good Friday Appeal, The Royal Children's Hospital will continue to provide staff education through training by simulation. Using state of the art medical technology, the RCH Simulation Team creates rare, high risk and critical patient events, as well as common clinical situations, to practise teamwork, communication, and technical skills. The Simulation Program gives staff the opportunity to receive feedback on their communication skills through simulated scenarios using trained actors. The program aims to enhance clinical skills, decision making, communication and teamwork among staff, ultimately leading to better patient care in all situations staff may be faced with, including critical and everyday situations. It doesn’t just benefit RCH staff and patients – healthcare professionals from across Victoria, Australia and even internationally are able to access training through the program. Over 18,000 participants have participated in training through the program since 2015!

Tradies big and small are having a ball building the 2025 Good Friday Appeal House. Villawood Properties and Henley Homes are behind the house - a Juno 442-D48 4-bedroom 47square double-storey spectacular at Villawood's award-winning Armstrong community at Geelong - which will go to a no-reserve auction on April 18. After being diagnosed with bone cancer, Noa underwent a 13-hour surgery to remove her leg tumour, with a “wacky” twist: her lower leg was rotated 180 degrees! Now, her ankle acts as her knee joint, giving her amazing control over her custom prosthetic. 🦿 Noa is determined to get back to playing netball and living life to the fullest.
