Great Talk had an interesting experience in Brisbane last week while playing tourist during an event, when a young person in a rotunda in a park we had stopped at had three police officers roll up on her to conduct a safety check, as she had threatened to end her life. We sat and listened to their intervention (challenging yet well-handled by Qld Police) for 30mins her painful history unfolded and there were many similarities to Zara's. After checking with one of the officers, we spent another 30mins talking directly to her about her experience and assuring this 20-year old that life could indeed get better. Our hope is that one small act of kindness from two strangers allowed her to see things differently... we wish you well. 💜 What small act can you do today?
