The holidays are here and, with everyone socialising, so is the season for colds and flu! Stay ahead of the game with these immune-boosting tips to keep you feeling your best all season long: 🌿 Eat Immunity-Boosting Foods: Load up on fruits and veggies high in vitamins C and A, like oranges and spinach. These nutrients help strengthen your immune system to fight off illness. 💧 Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your body functioning at its best. Staying hydrated helps your body flush out toxins and keeps your immune system strong. 🧴 Wash Your Hands: With all the holiday gatherings, remember to wash your hands frequently to prevent the spread of germs and viruses. 😴 Prioritise Sleep: Lack of sleep can weaken your immune system, so make sure you’re getting enough rest to stay healthy and energised. 💪 Consider Supplements: Try Activated Probiotics Biome Daily Probiotic for a healthy gut, which plays a crucial role in overall immune function. The holiday season can be joyful, but it can also come with stress. Here are some tips to manage holiday stress and prioritise your mental health: 1. Set Realistic Expectations: Embrace imperfections and enjoy the moment instead of striving for perfection. 2. Set Boundaries: Balance socialising with alone time. Communicate your needs to avoid overwhelm. 3. Stick to a Budget: Avoid financial stress by creating a holiday budget and focusing on meaningful, not expensive, gifts. 4. Prioritise Sleep & Stay Active: Keep a routine, exercise, and eat mindfully to stay energised. 5. Practice Mindfulness: Take moments to breathe, reflect, and appreciate the positive aspects of the season. Remember, it’s okay to take a break and ask for help when needed. Take care of yourself this holiday season! ✨ #HolidayStress #MentalHealth #SelfCare #ChristmasWellness #HealthyLifestylesAustralia

🎅🎄 Naughty or Nice? 🎄🎅 As we indulge in the holiday festivities, it’s the perfect time to reflect on our "naughty or nice" list… when it comes to food and drinks! 😋 On the Nice List: 🍏 Fresh fruit 🥦 Veggies & dip 🥜 Nuts & seeds 💧 Water & herbal teas 🍫 Dark chocolate (in moderation!) On the Naughty List: 🍪 Sugary cookies 🍹 Sugary cocktails 🍟 Fried snacks 🍰 Heavy desserts 🍫 Milk chocolate (oops, we still love it though!) Balance is key this season! Indulge in your favourites, but don’t forget to mix in some healthier choices too. After all, it’s about enjoying the moments, not just the treats! 😌✨ #NaughtyOrNice #HolidayBalance #HealthyChoices #FestiveFun #HealthyLifestylesAustralia

Here's another tasty recipe, provided by one of our expert Dietitians Chloe, to make this holiday period! Heathy Christmas Crackles 🎄💫 Makes 15 large crackles (easy to make with kids + great to take to parties) Ingrediants: -100g puffed brown rice (can switch for puffed quinoa) -80g soy protein crisps - 290g (2 packets) sugar free chocolate melts (Noshu brand) Optional: chopped dried apricots for added fibre OR broken pretzels for antlers paired with a mini M&M (Christmas version) Method: 1. Add chocolate to a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for 30 second intervals, checking each time until melted 2. Add all remaining ingredients and mix until well combined 3. Prepare cupcake tray, either silicone or metal (can lightly grease with tissue and Nuttelex) 4. Scoop 1-2 tbsp into each cupcake spot, and add optional antlers/m&m's to make reindeers 5. Refrigerate until cool (20-30 mins) . They keep crispy up to 4 days in the fridge (if they last that long) While this recipe is delicious we recommend enjoying it mindfully. Enjoy! ✨
