What Ability Day is a disability-inclusive event that celebrates all abilities in sport. Participants can meet athletes across several sports including netball, cricket, basketball, union, league and AFL. Our players had a blast. Thank you to What Ability for having us.

This week we hosted our inaugural Kings Day event featuring a panel discussion with basketball legends Luc Longley, Brian Goorjian and Andrew Bogut, moderated by The Australian Financial Review's Zoe Samios. We welcomed school and university students, journalists, researchers, industry leaders, CEOs and entrepreneurs from the sports, business and tech space. The fascinating discussion explored themes of resilience, leadership, imposter syndrome, competitiveness, striving for excellence, the importance of team culture and of course some friendly banter. Thank you to everyone who joined us and a big thank you to Zoe for moderating the discussion. Keep an eye out for more exciting events to come. #SydneyKings #SydneyFlames #B2B #BasketballAustralia #Networking

Congratulations to Bul Kuol who is celebrating his 100th National Basketball League (NBL) game tonight! During his career, the 27-year-old South Sudanese international has recorded averages of 10.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.7 steals - while establishing himself as one of the competition's top defenders. The 2024 Paris Olympian who calls Canberra home said "Personally, I take a lot of pride in that end of the floor and am now figuring out who I can best fit in with this talented group, who also possesses a lot of like-minded individuals, willing to do whatever it takes to win." https://lnkd.in/ge6DZcsw #TakeTheThrone #Milestone #AustralianSport

Thank you to the Australian Museum for hosting the Sydney Kings, Sydney Flames and our team for our Cultural Celebration. Hoops Capital takes pride in the cultural diversity within our organisation. Working with the Australian Museum and our Hoops Capital team, we connected with the knowledge, practices and culture of our First Nations and Pasifika communities. We were welcomed with an address from Robyn Denholm. Robyn spoke about the importance of family and community when it comes to performing at elite levels of sport. We then heard from an experienced panel discussion with Cayla George, head coach of the Sydney Kings Brian Goorjian, head coach of the Sydney Flames Guy Molloy and Shaun Bruce. We’re grateful to have worked with our wonderful emcee and sporting icon Dean Widders and David Lasika who performed the Welcome to All. Thanks to our amazing team and their families for coming along to this cultural immersion. #BringTheHeat #FlameOn
