Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting an incredible event at CorePlus Studios Elsternwick to mark the launch of our brand-new Freedom Collection. This collection is all about performance and comfort, offering buttery-soft fabrics that are supportive, sweat-proof, and squat-proof—perfectly tested during a 30-minute hot mat Pilates class. We were thrilled to be joined by a group of inspiring women who brought their energy and enthusiasm to the morning. After working hard in the Pilates studio, everyone enjoyed delicious snacks and connected over shared goals of fitness and empowerment. The Badwater 135 is recognized as the world’s toughest foot race and begins in California’s Death Valley – 282 feet below sea level and the hottest place on Earth – ending at the Mount Whitney trailhead (8,360 feet above sea level). With extreme weather conditions including temperatures reaching 130 degrees Fahrenheit, 2XU and District Vision embarked on the Desert Basin Exploration Program study and set out to create the highest-performing gear to get ultrarunner and 2XU athlete, Harvey Lewis, across the finish line for a 13th time.  Our findings led to the development of a hybrid compression and layering system that utilizes ultralight French-milled technical fabrics and incorporates colour theory to enhance UV protection while ensuring maximum cooling and breathability. By applying insights from District Vision's sunglass lens technology to full-body apparel, we achieved a race-ready kit designed to endure the world’s toughest running conditions. A new limited edition collection features three outfits from 2XU matched with a pair of ultra lightweight D+ lens rimless sunglasses. Driven by performance, unique design and modularity, 2XU and District Vision are inspired by how gear can be the difference between life and death at the Badwater 135.  

Alive in Death Valley 🔥 The weight of air is barely perceptible to humans. When air is heated, molecules move faster and spread apart, resulting in lower density. This can make the air feel lighter, especially in dry desert conditions. On the flip side, excessive heat tends to feel heavy due to the body’s inability to effectively cool itself, particularly throughout intense athletic exertion. 2XU and District Vision come together to research the subtle dimension of human experience in which the elastic nature of air becomes perceptible and we feel truly alive.  

Today at 2XU HQ we came together in support of Cancer Council Australia for the Biggest Morning Tea 🌼🫖   It’s an important fixture on our calendar each year, where we enjoy the feast, connect, share, and support our team and extended families who have and are currently affected by cancer. All while raising important funds to help impact many people’s lives.   A huge thank you to our team and friends who brought in a plate, feasted and donated. It’s thanks to you we smashed our target this year!
