Congratulations on an amazing achievement Ajesh and team!
Mission accomplished!! What an incredible experience it has been to present at the inaugural WHO Global Oral Health meeting, involving delegates from 110 countries, and to witness the historic signing of the Bangkok Resolution. I was truly inspired by the overwhelming interest in our packed side event, where our international team showcased practical strategies for integrating oral health into primary health care. Using diverse case studies, including our Midwifery Initiated Oral Health program, we highlighted actionable solutions for global adoption. This experience has reinforced the vital importance of the work being done at our national centre, www.acioh.com and underscored our leadership in integrated oral health care on a global stage. When I began this journey 15 years ago, there were many doubts about whether a university without a dental school could lead the charge in integrated oral health care from a nursing & midwifery perspective. Seeing our university being acknowledged during the closing WHO ceremony, alongside other prestigious organisations has provided a definitive answer: YES! We’re excited to continue supporting the WHO Global Coalition on Oral Health, alongside our new allies in integrated oral health, as we work together towards a healthier future-there is no health without oral health!!
