Now that 2025 is here, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that 2024 has been for me in the world of broadcasting. The past year was filled with significant milestones, personal growth, and unforgettable experiences that have further strengthened my passion for radio. One of the most memorable highlights of 2024 was receiving international recognition through a nomination by the International Student Broadcasting Championship for the Best Music Presenter. Although I was named runner-up in this highly competitive category, being acknowledged on such a global platform was an immense honor and a reflection of the dedication and effort I have invested in my craft. My journey in campus radio at Tuks FM 107.2 over the past three years has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2022, I earned a nomination at the South African Radio Awards for Best Daytime Show for the TuksFM Brunch with Neliswa Mhlongo. The following year, in 2023, I was once again recognized in the same category for the Tuks FM Lunch with Neliswa Mhlongo. In 2024, my work was further acknowledged with nominations for Best Breakfast Presenter for the Tuks FM Breakfast and the Best Weekend Radio Show. The highlight of 2024, however, was finally securing a win in the Best Weekend Radio Show category—a milestone that felt like the culmination of years of hard work, learning, and growth. This achievement has not only been a personal victory but also a source of motivation to continue striving for excellence in the industry. With all that I accomplished in 2024, I am excited for what lies ahead in 2025. I am confident that this year will bring even greater opportunities, challenges, and successes, and I look forward to embracing them all with renewed passion and determination.
