We've recently launched an exciting new initiative at Junction: the Leadership Team 30 (LT30)! LT30 is a diverse group of 30 leaders from across the organisation, including direct reports to the Executive Team and other key enablers. Together, they're focused on driving learning about our impact, enabling innovation, collaboration, and turning our strategic vision into meaningful action. The team will work across silos, championing strategic projects, shaping initiatives, and bringing fresh ideas from all corners of the business. By creating strong feedback loops and ensuring open communication, LT30 is bridging the gap between leadership and the realities on the ground, helping us stay connected and agile. Across the year we will be working on shared complex problems, learning about what works in building communities that thrive and create intergenerational change. Another core mission of LT30? Empowering the next generation of leaders by giving them a voice in shaping Junction's future. It's about adaptive leadership, collaboration, transformation, and delivering impact together. Alisa Willis, Junction's Head of Impact said, "The LT30 is a crucial initiative for aligning our strategic vision with daily operations. It ensures we learn about our impact, and build connections across our organisation to solve the big problems that face our communities. We are eager to see what they will accomplish together." Pictured here are the LT30 chair, Julie Ford (R), Alisa Willis (PhD) (Middle), and LT30 deputy chair Nikki Lovell (L).

Junction’s The Young Parent Project (TYPP), based at our Hackham Community Centre (HCC), has received a $1.43 million funding boost from the Commonwealth Outcomes Fund. This vital investment will support the program over the next three years, enabling us to continue helping young parents thrive. TYPP, a collaboration with The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI), supports parents under 25, many of whom have experienced significant trauma. Since its launch 18 months ago, with seed funding from the Paul Ramsay Foundation, the program has supported over 40 young parents. Federal Minister for Social Services, the Honourable Amanda Rishworth MP, and State Minister for Human Services, the Honourable Nat Cook MP, announced the funding yesterday. TYPP is one of the first South Australian initiatives to benefit from the $100 million Commonwealth Outcomes Fund, designed to address disadvantage through innovation. As the year winds down, we had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible work of our contractors at our annual Contractor Celebration last week. Their continued dedication ensures our tenants have safe, comfortable homes. Over the past financial year, our contractors have been instrumental in supporting us with 378 vacancies and completing 7,650 responsive maintenance jobs. Importantly, their efforts resonate with tenants: - 89% were satisfied with maintenance work completed - 96% said contractors were respectful and courteous - 95% felt contractors left their homes clean and tidy Proactive, respectful, and well-organised maintenance is vital to our work. A huge thank you to our contractors for making such a meaningful impact!

Last Friday, we stood alongside our partners from The Haven Goolwa and the local community to march against gender-based violence. The march began at our Goolwa office and ended with a moving candlelight vigil at Jaralde Park, where we had the honour of hearing from Di Newton—a feminist and advocate with over 40 years of experience empowering women facing domestic violence. This event followed our Pass It On initiative on Kangaroo Island and forms part of the 16 Days of Activism. Through our #OrangeTheFleurieu campaign, we’ve proudly championed this important cause across the region for the past few years. Thank you to everyone who wore orange and stood united to support this vital cause. 🧡 The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is a global initiative led by UN Women. It runs annually from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day).

We’re thrilled to announce the release of Junction’s first impact report. This marks a major milestone, shifting our focus from outputs to measurable impact. Over the past year, we’ve refined our strategy and developed an impact framework, allowing us to better understand and address key issues like housing affordability, loneliness, and generational disadvantage. Through data-driven insights, we’re now able to show how our services positively affect communities. Our work continues to prioritise sustainability, place-making, and cultural connections, with projects like our Tiny Homes Campus and Oaklands Park Urban Renewal highlighting our leadership in these areas. We’re also focused on growing a diverse workforce, embracing lived experiences, and fostering co-design, as seen in our Young Parents peer-mentor program. Together, we’re making a meaningful, long-term difference. Thank you for your continued support. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/g65GsNis

We 'Woke Up for Change' this morning as our team joined hundreds at the 2024 Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, to take a stand against violence towards women and children. Keynote speaker Dr. Vincent Hurley, a criminologist and former senior police officer with nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience, delivered a powerful address at the event, drawing from his firsthand experience with the profound impacts of sexual and domestic violence. White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement engaging men and boys to end violence against women and promote gender equality, with a strong emphasis on building healthy, respectful relationships. November is #WhiteRibbonMonth. For more information on White Ribbon’s mission, visit: https://lnkd.in/gYJtCTT7 #WhiteRibbonAust
