Co-founder of Barb by Kindship: the disability care navigator in your pocket, offering instant, personalised support to streamline care pathways and enhance health outcomes for families and children with disabilities.

Last week, I talked to a room of innovators, decision-makers, and thought-leaders about Barb, Kindship's AI-powered disability care navigator. We were a finalist in the National AI Sprint and took home second place - a huge win! But what excited me most about this opportunity was the chance to shine a light on the very real challenges experienced by families navigating #disability and the power of informed decision-making. This week, Google is spreading Kindship's message further with its #WeArePlay campaign, and I couldn't be prouder to see Barb listed alongside Human Health and Mable. It's only onwards and upwards from here! ✨ https://lnkd.in/gK9eysE5

  • Have you heard the news? Kindship won second place at last night's inaugural National AI Sprint award ceremony. And what a sprint it has been! In just six weeks, 200+ applicants were whittled down to ten and then just the top three. We can't wait to put our bragging rights and $100k in R&D funding to good use empowering families navigating a disability journey.

It is still sinking in that Kindship took home second place at the National AI Sprint award ceremony for our AI-powered #disability #care navigator, affectionately known as Barb. Not only did this competition allow us to rub shoulders with some of Australia's best and brightest #AI startups, but it also gave us a platform to discuss the real challenges families face navigating the complicated world of the #NDIS. Our vision is to revolutionise the disability sector to ensure #equality of care and improved #health outcomes for people with disabilities and their families. This recognition gets us one step closer to doing just that. Thank you to all those involved in the judging and running of the National AI Sprint and especially to those cheering us on the night. Transforming the NDIS Experience with Kindship 🌟 In 2022, we asked the question - how much time do parents spend navigating the NDIS. 1,000 responded and told us it was an average of 4 hours per week. That works out to 5 weeks a year, which is HUGE! Our community spoke, and we listened. We recently asked 'What is the activity or challenge that takes the most time?' Here is visual representation to share an overview of our findings. Spending 5 weeks a year navigating the NDIS is a tall order for any family. From finding supports and managing care coordination to tackling the maze of NDIS processes and battling decision fatigue, the challenges are vast. But here's where Kindship steps in. Our mission is to dramatically reduce this burden, giving back valuable time to families. By focusing on personalised support, simplifying processes, and empowering through education, we're committed to making the NDIS journey smoother and more manageable. Dive into how we're addressing the top challenges faced by families navigating the NDIS. Let's reclaim those weeks for what truly matters. #NDIS #FamilySupport #KindshipDifference
