Safe, powerful, plant-based products for a clean home, body and mind. Locally made with Australian Essential Oils

About us

Koala Eco is a purpose-led business founded in 2017. We have created a range of safe, powerful, plant-based products for a clean home, body and mind. Made locally with high concentrations of Australian essential oils, the range of natural and eco-friendly cleaning and hand & body products are certified non-toxic, vegan and allergy-safe. • Certified Safe and Non-toxic. Our products are safe to use around children, babies and pets. • Ethically formulated. Our products are plant-based, vegan, certified cruelty-free, and never tested on animals. • Our products really work! Our products perform better than their toxic alternatives thanks to our plant-based ingredients. Our spray cleaners are independently lab-tested and proven to kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria. • Environmentally conscious & sustainable. Made with sustainably sourced plant-based ingredients and pure essential oils, Koala Eco formulas work without harming the environment and are biodegradable and grey-water safe. Plus, we support 1% for the Planet with a donation from every purchase. • Our bottles are made from 100 % recycled and recyclable rPet. Refills, Concentrates and Apothecary Glass bottles are also available. • A beautiful experience. Thanks to the high concentrations of Australian essential oils, the aromatherapy benefits of our products can transform cleaning from a mundane task into a sensorial and uplifting ritual. • We have attracted a base of devotees with an Instagram following of more than 100,000 followers, thousands of 5-star ratings from 99% of our consumers and exceptional loyalty. • Purpose-led. Driven by a growing body of evidence on Ecopsychology and the importance of maintaining a regular connection to nature for well-being, our brand’s mission is to support this connection by bringing more nature into people’s daily lives, both through the beauty of our plant-based range, and via the support of community initiatives #naturepact and the Critters Program. • As we step into 2025, we want to take a moment to convey our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible partnership we share with you. Your support and collaboration mean the world to us, and we are truly proud to have you by our side. 2024 has been a remarkable year for us—marked by growth, achievements, and recognition. It has been a busy and rewarding year, and we are honored to have reached new milestones together. However, it was also a year that reminded us of the challenges our communities face. The devastating California fires have profoundly impacted many lives, and our thoughts remain with everyone who has been affected. In addition to our shared successes, we are deeply committed to giving back to causes that matter. Through initiatives like 1% for the Planet and The Oceanic Society's Critters Program, we have worked to make meaningful contributions to our community and the environment. Supporting organizations that align with our values is core to who we are, and programs like these reflect our commitment to sustainability, care, and resilience in times of need. Please know that we and our team are always here to connect, share insights, or hear your feedback. Wishing you a prosperous and rewarding year ahead. Here’s to continued growth, shared success, and new opportunities in 2025. Kindest regards, Jessica Bragdon & Paul Davidson

  • Peace, trust, and transformation As we begin 2025, we send warmest best wishes from everyone at Koala Eco to you all, along with our hope that the 12 months ahead will be as smooth and untroubled as possible for all of us. Aptly, the United Nations has declared 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, inviting the international community ‘to resolve conflicts through inclusive dialogue and negotiation’ to build ‘sustainable peace, solidarity and harmony,’ and it’s hard to think of a more worthy resolution for which to aim. 2025 is also the Year of the Snake. While many people in Western cultures fear these amazing creatures and use the term ‘snake’ to characterise someone as untrustworthy or treacherous, in the East Asian zodiac the snake symbolises elegance, wisdom, and transformation. Known for its intuition and resilience, the snake represents rebirth and encourages deep thinking and personal growth. Here’s hoping the New Year brings all the positives of peace, trust, intuition and transformation. May we all be able to think deeply about how we want our world to be and what our personal and collective growth towards better things might look like. Perhaps we need to start with kindness to ourselves and others. We wish you a truly happy and peaceful beginning to the New Year. x Jess, Paul & the Koala Eco Team

Embrace Nature this Christmas Christmas time is traditionally meant to be about peace on Earth and goodwill to all humankind. There’s something about a year’s ending—which in so many cultures is marked by Christmas’ celebratory meeting of the pagan with the ecclesiastical—that makes us wish for better, for the chance to reset. It doesn’t matter what faith system you belong to or if you claim a belief at all; we seem to share a need to carry forward something good into the New Year. What we carry forward may be small, personal, or private, yet it can symbolise something mighty like comfort and hope. For Paul, me and our boys, comfort and hope come with nurturing our bond with nature as much as possible. To embrace the healing power of being outdoors, in the ocean, walking in the bush, bringing fresh leaves into our house—just like the pagans did—and watching the stars, just like the shepherds and the Magi did in the Christmas story. Being in nature, listening to the waves, the wind, and the rhythms of the Earth reminds us that we’re creatures of nature too, connecting us with everyone and everything else that’s a creature or living system of nature. We live in the intimate and immense beauty of a natural world that grows, gives, nourishes and astonishes. Our wish for you is to feel the healing power of nature this Christmas time and onwards, and our family sends love to you all. 💚 — Jess & Paul

  • Paul and I began Koala Eco because we’d been searching in vain for beautiful, efficacious and environmentally safe home products, so we decided to start a business. However, we quickly realised that our motivation for researching and working with the natural antibacterial power of Aussie botanicals went deeper than creating a pragmatic solution to a lack. Our interest was founded on our individual childhood experiences growing up on a rural farm in Western Australia and the New England region of the United States and being out in nature daily. Being outdoors, whether in the mountains or in the ocean, made a material difference to our states of mind and physical well-being. Simply, nature made us feel really good. It still does. So, it makes sense that our business has hinged on creating opportunities for people to bring nature and well-being into their daily lives through products that use essential oils’ powerful (and therapeutic) properties. It’s also important for us to invest in and support organisations that care for and restore nature and encourage meaningful connections. It doesn’t matter if Koala Eco is contributing to the conservation of our namesake, the koala, donating to 1% for the Planet every time a product is sold, or helping to facilitate close encounters between young people and marine life (as we do with the Oceanic Society’s Critter Scholars Program). It’s all about strengthening and spreading the love and respect for what’s irreplaceable. Meaningful connections with the natural world offer us joy, respite and healing, and ultimately, a meaningful connection with ourselves. x Jess & Paul

We’re so excited to announce our newest investment in Koala Eco. We’re thrilled to have them as part of our portfolio at Rodeo. Koala Eco is the future of non-toxic cleaning as a brand who puts efficacy and safety above all else. Their mission is to bring truly natural products to the everyday consumer, with the insight that more people would like to make more sustainable and natural product choices, but have a nagging belief that ‘eco’ options compromise on efficacy and require too much money or effort to buy. Currently, non-toxic cleaning represents only 27% of the market, but is growing rapidly at a rate of 11% YoY (vs. traditional cleaning products at 4% YoY). Koala Eco has the opportunity to lead the charge in this category, competing with traditional cleaning products on both efficacy and price. Here’s a little more about Koala Eco & factors that drove our decision to invest: OPPORTUNITY IN THE CLEANING SPACE Very few non-toxic cleaning brands are able to match the efficacy and price of traditional cleaning products - which are top concerns of the US MASS-tige market. Koala Eco competes with traditional cleaners on both of these decision-making points. PROVEN SUCCESS IN AUSTRALIAN MARKET Koala Eco products have been in the Australian market for 7+ years now and have seen massive growth and strong customer loyalty. The team will use AUS strategy as a blueprint for US expansion. US SALES GROWTH Koala Eco has been experiencing explosive sales growth since entering the US market 2 years ago, with DTC sales growth up 80% over the last 3 months. All prior to launching their ‘hero line’, laundry, in the US, which is coming this fall. The team is also putting major focus into expanding their Amazon presence. FOUNDERS We are such huge fans of the husband & wife founders, Paul & Jessica who are a powerful founder duo with complementary skill sets - we know they will lead Koala Eco to incredible success.
