It was an incredible experience sharing Ligantic's work at the AI Forum in Bendigo last week. We were delighted to present a case study on how we're using the Ligantic Platform to support rare disease communities around the world - and the response was overwhelming. A big thank you to Rita Arrigo for the industry snapshot (and Ligantic Platform shoutout 😉) and to Professor Wei Xiang for his inspiring vision of the future, where the intersection of IoT and AI is bringing intelligence into the real world. Hearing stories like Orchard Mate on how they're blending visual data and predictive analysis to revolutionise olive farming and how Briana Cowan is leveraging GenAI to augment her professional life, personal tasks, and productivity was an absolute highlight. The panel discussions on the ethical and pragmatic approach to re-skilling for emerging tech capabilities were eye-opening; thank you Jannat M., Leanne Ngo, Chantele Kovacevic, and Simon Wilson. A special thanks to Margaret O'Rourke OAM, FAICD for keeping the energy high throughout the day and challenging the audience to put these insights into action. Most importantly, it was invaluable to connect with so many attendees passionate about harnessing the power of AI responsibly within their organisations. Our very own Stef Cola was a panelist at the Regional Tech Founders: Growing & Scaling Throughout Australia & Globally event at Tech Week. Stef, along with Ligantic co-founder Mark, explored the Cremorne Digital Hub as part of their #TechWeek adventures. The panel discussion, hosted by Craig Hunter on behalf of Startup Central Victoria, busted some common myths about launching and growing a business in regional Australia. Stef was joined by fellow regional founders Dean Freestone and Prof. James L. Maxwell (LTU Bendigo). The key takeaways? The regions are an amazing place to build a business - the problem-solving skills and tight-knit communities make for incredible early-stage teams. Plus, the regional ecosystems are rapidly evolving to support the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
