RevoGlov leads the way! With the world in dire need of a solution to the impact of plastic gloves on our waterways and landfill, microfilm technology may be the key to a sustainable way of keeping hands and skin protected, without damaging the environment.   Disposable gloves are widely used across industries like food service and manufacturing, and personal use has surged since COVID-19. Unfortunately, latex gloves clog up landfill and take years to break down. Even biodegradable nitrile gloves still take a long time to break down and release methane while doing so.   The environmental cost is not only in storage, transport and disposal, but also in the resource-heavy production process.   At Liquim, our team has developed plant-derived  RevoGlov - ‘liquid gloves’ that use microfilm barrier technology to offer similar protection as plastic gloves without needing disposal.   Created by our Chief Scientist Velimir Pajic, RevoGlov is applied as a gel that dries in 30 seconds, forming an ultra-thin protective layer on the skin. It can be washed off easily with water, greatly reducing the impact of disposable gloves on the environment.   Each RevoGlov emits 41 times less CO2 in the manufacture process alone compared to synthetic gloves and contains no microplastics. So how does RevoGlov work? Our ‘liquid gloves’ use microfilm barrier technology to create protection similar to what plastic gloves provide. Our ‘pump-on gloves’  are applied as a gel over the hands (similar to using a hand sanitiser without the nasties like alcohol).   The plant-based substance coats your hands with an ultra-thin protective layer on the skin that dries within thirty seconds.   It doesn’t feel like you’re wearing gloves at all!
