Trellis Data has unveiled a game-changing breakthrough in #AI decoding. New research has found that its Dynamic Depth Decoding (D3) technique speeds up text generation by more than 3x on popular large language models. As AI systems become more power-hungry, Trellis Data’s efficiency has the ability to slash energy usage and costs for enterprises while reducing the carbon footprint of AI deployments. According to CEO and co-founder Michael G., “Trellis Data is at the forefront of the rapidly developing AI field and we’re excited to make D3 available on our platform. D3 will provide customers using our speech management and knowledge management capabilities immediate benefits including an enhanced user experience and greater ability to scale.” #DeepTech #Startups

Castlepoint Systems has been recognised by The Australian as one of the nation’s top cyber innovators for the third year in a row. 👏 There is a massive increase in digital data that often sits in fragmented data storage locations. This makes it impossible for record managers to ensure compliance obligations around audit, security and privacy are met. Co-founded by Rachael Greaves and Gavin McKay, Castlepoint Systems’ all-in-one AI-driven solution enables risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, auditing and automated records management. Its system uses natural language processing to understand data points and then can apply relevant laws and policies to enable teams to manage data correctly. #Cybersecurity #Startups

Classic psychedelics like psilocybin and LSD have shown promise in clinical trials for treating mental health conditions, but they have undesirable side effects like intense hallucinations. Based at UNSW, Psylo is collaborating with Associate Professor Luke Hunter to develop next-generation, psilocybin-inspired therapeutics that aim to deliver the mental health benefits without the challenging side effects. This cutting-edge work brings us closer to harnessing the healing power of psychedelics for a wider patient base, paving the way for a new era of mental health treatments. Curious to learn more about Psylo’s groundbreaking research? Check out the full story below. 👇 #Healthcare #Biotechnology

Quantum computers are expected to be able to break today’s encryption in minutes. As the industry continues to develop (with $3B in capital poured into quantum technologies in 2021 alone), the threat posed to encrypted data is becoming increasingly real. QuintessenceLabs is accelerating quantum-resilient encryption to help enterprises protect critical systems from the emerging threat of adversaries. This month, QuintessenceLabs has deployed its Trusted Security Foundation key and policy manager appliance in Equinix’s International Business Exchange data centre to help organisations strengthen their defences against cryptographic threats. #DeepTech #Quantum

Samsara Eco's #Innovation Hub is taking shape in Jerrabomberra, NSW. ♻️ With the roof now in place, the team is preparing for the final fit-out of a space that’s designed to revolutionise the way we tackle plastic waste. This campus will be a hub for global brands to partner, test, and innovate using Samsara Eco’s enzymatic library, showcasing how science can directly address the accumulation of plastic waste and reduce reliance on fossil-fuel-based plastics. Why does it matter? Simple, more space = greater capacity to recycle, innovate, and scale up solutions that could help fix our planet. #Sustainability #CircularEconomy
