We need to change perceptions of the manufacturing industry. Our Perceptions of Manufacturing Research Report is now available, laying the groundwork for strategic initiatives aimed at reshaping how young people and key influencers view the manufacturing industry. One of the biggest challenges for Queensland manufacturers is attracting people to the workforce. A lack of awareness, outdated stereotypes, an educational emphasis on higher education pathways, and competition from other industries are all impacting the talent pipeline for manufacturing. The Made in Queensland (MiQ) program is getting a $5 million boost each year to increase international competitiveness, productivity and innovation, and to generate high-skilled jobs for the future. Round 7 of the MiQ grants program is now open, with grants ranging from $50,000 to $2.5 million available to help Queensland manufacturers grow and create more jobs. Today our team (Suzanne Kulk, Georgi Tomlinson and Lindita Becovic) attended TAFE Queensland's InnovateQ – Future of Manufacturing Expo in Ipswich🌟   We joined industry leaders, innovators, and experts from across the region to explore the future of manufacturing.
