These materials are designed to inspire greater student engagement and support your teaching goals. We are excited to make these resources available to maths teachers across Australia and encourage you to look at the materials and provide your feedback. 📚 Resources https://buff.ly/4f1LSzV 🛠️ Explore the materials: Perfect for Years 7–10 teachers looking to inspire their students and enrich their teaching. 📋 Share your thoughts: We value your feedback! Very proud of my team! I can’t wait to see brilliant mathematics educators next week!
Next week is going to be a busy, but amazing conference! I’ve had such a big year of learning working alongside academics, school leaders, teachers and students as well as my brilliant colleagues from The Mathematical Association of Victoria. At #MAVCON #MAV24 I’ll be sharing my work and reflections on the following: 1. Mathematical Modelling in the Primary Years with Amy Somers 2. The Big Ideas in Number & VC:M 2.0- Building a scope and sequence 3. Where’s the explicit teaching in Launch, Explore, Summarise with Jessica Kurzman If you’re heading to MAVCON be sure to find me and say hello! You’ll find me at the MAV bookshop or floating around between some truly brilliant presenters. See you there!

Can you believe that in my 10 years of teaching mathematics I have never been to the annual The Mathematical Association of Victoria Conference? Well, this year is different and I'm so excited to be attending the MAV24 conference at La Trobe University🥳 Having taught at a small school for the majority of my career, the MAV conference has always been too much of a luxury to afford on a small mathematics faculty budget, so this year is certainly a special occasion. Let me know if you want to connect and grab a coffee at the conference!

Do you know an Early Career Primary Teacher who could spare ten minutes? I am conducting some research into their experiences in teaching mathematics. I would love to hear of their successes and challenges. Please share the poster with them or to your network! #earlycareerteachers #initialteachereducation #mathematicsteaching #mathematicseducation #mathematics #primaryteaching #primaryteachers #monashuni #teacherwellbeing #mav #aamt
