The Maxibor Australia collaborative approach with early project involvement is a winner for all stakeholders in infrastructure projects. The combination of HDD design engineering and delivery expertise can add significant value at the early decision making stages of projects while reducing risk at the pipeline installation stage, especially for larger diameter and longer pipeline projects. #trenchless #designengineering #HDD #pipelines Rodney O'Meley Stephen Loneragan David Turner James Hand Guy Angus Tim Norrish #maxirigs
Maxibor Australia has successfully completed another large diameter pipeline using its maxi-rigs for a major water project. We installed 710mm SDR11 PN16 pipe in boreholes reamed to 1.00m using our Vermeer Australia 330x500 maxi-rig and extended 100x120. The total length of the bores on the project is 1.14km, with the longest bore reaching 480m and challenging ground conditions up to 80MPa. Despite above-average rainfall in the past two months, production has been ahead of schedule. Maxibor Australia looks forward to another successful year of collaboration with clients (asset owners and principal contractors) through concept, engineering design, and installation of pipelines. #pipelines #designengineering #trenchless #HDD #maxirigs #water #productivity #knowledgetransfer #sustainability #HSEQ

As Maxibor approaches another milestone anniversary, we reflect on our journey and the tremendous benefits of our collaborative approach, highlighted by some recent project successes. Our business model has seen significant growth, with robust activity in both self-performed maxi-rig projects and smaller rig projects supported by our expanding network of HDD subcontractors. The future looks bright, with high demand for top-tier HDD design and construct providers like Maxibor. Maxibor is proudly recognised as a leading HDD design and construct provider for large diameter bores in Australia. Our collaborative approach and the availability of high-calibre maxi-rig crews and HDD equipment resonate strongly with infrastructure asset owners and principal contractors. Our expertise in designing and constructing large diameter pipelines over extended distances is an invaluable resource for the infrastructure sector. Combining in-house design capabilities with experienced personnel and fit for purpose equipment allows Maxibor to offer comprehensive services from early project design and planning to final delivery. This integrated approach helps mitigate project risks and effectively manage unforeseen challenges, optimising outcomes for all stakeholders. Our maxi-rigs have been actively completing large diameter 1.0m bores for water authorities in New South Wales and Queensland. Last week, we successfully installed a 392m 710mm SDR11 PN16 SRM pipe for the Hunter Water Wallsend wastewater pump station and 1.1km pipeline upgrade project. The project involves three sections of bores reamed to a 1.0m diameter, dealing with ground conditions predominantly composed of rock up to 80MPa. We have two maxi-rig spreads at the site and are working cooperatively with the principal contractor Pensar to accelerate delivery of this critical project. Earlier this year, we completed a 460m 110mm steel-cased gas pipeline under the Boyne River in challenging rock conditions. Meticulous cleaning of the bore hole through multiple reaming passes ensured the integrity of the steel pipe coating during installation. We are looking forward to completing further gas pipeline projects with Saunders Piping Solutions who were the principal contractors on this important project. Our network of subcontractors have completed over 15km of pipelines across 26 HDD projects in the past year. Maxibor's proactive approach in business development, bidding, design, and commercial management allows our HDD subcontractors to focus on delivering projects efficiently. We also ensure timely payments, alleviating any financial burdens for our subbies. We are proud of our achievements and committed to continuing our collaborative approach to deliver exceptional results. For more information about our services or to discuss potential projects, please contact us directly. Let's build a future we all look forward to. Here is a link to an article Maxibor Australia had published in Trenchless Australasia early in 2023. Still very much relevant today as we continue to be exposed to the escalating impacts of extreme climate change related weather events across Australia. https://lnkd.in/gCdg4hnr. #HDD #pipelines #climatechangesolutions #insurance Rodney O'Meley Luke McMahon (Mbus)
