An initiative of Flinders University, MDPP is an Ideas Incubator for medical devices & assistive technologies
About us
The Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP) is an initiative of the Medical Device Research Institute (MDRI) at Flinders University that supports the development of novel medical devices and assistive technologies. We’re an ideas incubator – supporting early stage innovation and technology development. We’re all about bringing to life ideas for new medical devices – whether they come from a medical professional who sees the opportunity to solve a problem, the user who designed their own solution, a company that sees the opportunity to diversify their product portfolio or an academic who wants to connect their ideas with application. Some come to us with problems to be solved, while others come to us with the solutions that just need the right expertise to make them fly.

It didn't happen overnight, but it did happen 🚀 As we ship the MAXM solution into various countries and patient rehab journeys across the globe in 2024 we thought we'd go back 10 years to take a look at an earlier chapter of the MAXM journey 📈 You can see here an early MAXM Skate prototype, alongside our Founder and orthopaedic surgeon Matthew Liptak working closely with the Medical Device Research Institute team at Flinders University to test out an early Skate model. We now have an integrated Bluetooth sensor, expertly engineered Skate, and state-of-the-art App that brings the digital health program and rehab data together beautifully... but it has taken many steps to get us here 🔥 We'd like to thank all the people that have helped along the way to get the product to where it is today; with regulatory listings for TGA, FDA and CE mark, and most importantly helping patients rehab journeys in a number of countries. It's been a long and dedicated journey to get us here, but we know this is just the beginning for the MAXM Skate solution and how we will revolutionise orthopaedic rehab journeys globally 🌏 #accelerate #knee #surgery #recovery #orthopaedics #TKR #totalkneereplacement #medtech #healthtechnology #digitalhealth #rehab #MAXM #MAXMskate #TGA #FDA #CEmark
