In collaboration with the National MND Lived Experience Network and the State MND Associations, we've created two new interactive and printable pdf resources to help people with MND communicate their specific care needs if a hospital or residential care stay is required. Both resources can be completed digitally and then either printed, saved or emailed or alternatively printed and then completed by hand. 𝐌𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 is a two-page A4 form designed to help care workers and hospital staff give you care that meets your needs and wishes. It can also be used at home, or to give to new service providers. Our 2024 Bill Gole Fellow, Dr Rachel Atkinson, has provided an update on her research project, titled 'Freezing MND in its tracks'. This project is looking at the body's 'cold stress response' and how the positive effects of this could be harnessed in the search for a treatment for MND.
