It was an absolute pleasure to help coordinate the To Leap Program Graduation, which marked the culmination of an 18-week program designed to empower individuals to connect, build skills, and shape the future of their communities. The program featured weekly training workshops to develop valuable skills, mentoring support and guidance, access to grant funding for community-focused ideas. It was truly inspiring to see participants from the North Melbourne and Flemington Housing Estates and its vicinity come together, identify challenges in their community, and propose innovative, lasting solutions. On December 6th, CollabConnect came to life as a dynamic hub of inspiration, collaboration, and community. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing co-hosts, Melissa Wheeler and Jon Hewitt of RMIT University, for partnering with Moral Fairground, supported by City North Fest, to create this vibrant event. From the Social Enterprise Pop-Up to the Symposium and Networking Session, the day was filled with engaging conversations and diverse perspectives. CollabConnect truly showcased the power of collective action, bringing together people from all walks of life to foster connections and inspire impactful change.
