  • Circularity 2024 has been an inspiring event so far, and we extend our compliments to Planet Ark for their exceptional organization and leadership in fostering meaningful discussions on sustainability. A special thanks to Nicole T Garofano, PhD, AAIP and her team for creating such a dynamic platform for collaboration. We were particularly excited about Dr. Janez Potocnik being the keynote on day 1, a key figure in Europe’s sustainability journey. As a former European Commissioner for Science and Research, and later for the Environment, Dr. Potočnik has played a pivotal role in shaping policies for sustainable growth. Now Co-Chair of the International Resource Panel (IRP), he continues to lead global discussions on responsible resource management—a vision closely aligned with Europe’s leadership in advancing the circular economy. We’re excited for Day 2 and look forward to continuing these vital conversations, building on today’s momentum for a more sustainable and circular future!

  • Today, Alex Dronoff, CEO of engineering consultant Fichtner Australia, presented the findings of the full pilot study on hydrogen (derivatives) exports from Australia through the Port of Rotterdam to end users in the Netherlands and Germany to over 130 members of the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC). The study assessed the feasibility of Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) exports from Australia to the Netherlands and Germany in the framework of the EU’s certification scheme RED III. The findings suggest that such exports are #feasible and #competitive provided that the production harnesses renewable electricity sources only and total emissions remain below a certain threshold! Thank you AHC for making this presentation possible! #hydrogen #australia #renewables Are you interested in the full report? https://lnkd.in/eYnaZ5xv
