We are thrilled to announce that our A Good Life Tool is an Australian Good Design Award Winner in the social impact category. https://lnkd.in/gthV2GHS This award is a result of an incredible collaboration among wonderful teams from NI, Northcott, the UTS School of Design and Parallel Lines. Support teams of people with complex needs will use the tool to easily understand what to prioritise to offer more choice and control to those they are supporting. We look forward to launching the tool in early 2025. For more information about the tool, email info@northcottinnovation.com.au.

I couldn’t be prouder of the NI team. After years of co-design alongside people with high support needs A Good Life is finally ready to launch I’m so excited to see the tangible impact this innovative visualisation tool will have in the disability sector as well as aged care, specialist education and criminal justice. Now to find some partners or funders to support the next strange of tech development!
A Good Life is an innovative tool for visualising the lives of people with complex support needs (most likely living in supported care environments). It reframes conversations about support, shifting the focus to lived experience and revealing opportunities for people with disabilities to lead richer and fuller lives. A Good Life was developed through a joint effort between Northcott Innovation, the UTS School of Design and Parallel Lines. Learn more about the A Good Life tool now and how we need more funding to make this available broadly throughout the disability and aged care sector. https://lnkd.in/gZNDtWgC

Northcott Innovation and disAbility Maternity Care are thrilled to launch our resources from our ‘Supported Decision Making for Parents with Intellectual Disability During Pregnancy’ project. We have called the resource set ‘Your Pregnancy, Your Choices’. The set of resources aim to support decision making for parents with intellectual disability during pregnancy. The resources were co-designed with parents with intellectual disability who were pregnant or who had had a baby. We recently asked 2 of the co-designers about their experience of being part of the project. Here is what they said: For more information and access to the resources, please visit: https://lnkd.in/g8bZ6hz7 Thank you Council for Intellectual Disability for funding this project.
