🌟 Driving Sustainability at Northshore Brisbane 🌟 We are proud to announce significant sustainability milestones achieved through our collaboration with Containers for Change QLD (COEX). From January to October 2024, some of our precinct partners have successfully collected 78,407 drink containers, recycling 40 tonnes of materials. This initiative has not only promoted environmental stewardship but also generated $7,840 in donations to various charities. Special recognition goes to Eat Street Northshore, The Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub Brisbane, and Superordinary for their exceptional efforts. Additionally, our public bag drop station at Dock C Car Park has collected 33,579 containers in just eight months, with funds supporting local community organisations such as Brisbane Tool Library and Northshore Australian Men's Shed Association (AMSA). In conjunction with National Recycling Week, we are pleased to share the following impact statistics: ♻️ 13.1 tonnes of CO2 saved – equivalent to removing 5.5 cars from the road ♻️ 86.1 gigajoules of energy saved – enough to power 2.8 households for a year ♻️ 37,922 kilolitres of water saved – more than 15 Olympic-sized swimming pools ♻️ 24.7 cubic metres of waste diverted from landfill – almost 103 wheelie bins These achievements underscore a precinct commitment to sustainability and community impact.
