Jordan had been told he'd never play NRL but has gone on to amass 223 games so far and even play for Australia. He shared his message of resilience with the Year 5's as part of his Term 4 Adopt-a-School visit thanks to Bravus Mining & Resources.

Originally from Cooktown, Makeilla came to the House in Year 7, adapted beautifully and has grown into a determined, humble and kind young woman. She was among the first cohort of girls to this year complete their full 6 years of secondary schooling while at the House and is now a step closer to her dream career after being accepted into a James Cook University course in Cairns. NRL Cowboys House is managed by our community arm, Cowboys Community Foundation, and is a joint initiative between the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, National Rugby League, the Australian Government and the Queensland Government
