From the beach to Parliament House, our giant melanoma – The Spot – travelled to Canberra last Thursday to help raise critical awareness of the need for action on skin cancer and melanoma - Australia’s ‘national cancer' which impacts 2 in 3 Australians each year. The Spot (co-funded by Bristol Myers Squibb and La Roche-Posay Laboratoire Dermatologique) grew on the lawn in one of the Reps Courtyards, as parliamentarians and members of the melanoma and skin cancer community met for the Start of Summer BBQ, hosted by the Melanoma & Skin Cancer Advocacy Network (MSCAN) and the Parliamentary Friends of Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness. The sculpture acted as a timely reminder of the importance of sun-safety and skin checks. #Ogilvy #OgilvyAustralia #MelanomaAwareness #TheSpot #ParliamentHouse #SkinSafety #SunSafety Jason Clare MP

How do you know what's normal? You ask Stefan of course! When we were tasked with launching the new Coloxyl Macrogol for children earlier this year, we knew we needed the help of Stefan, everyone's favourite stool expert. We're thrilled to have been recognised, along with our partners Aspen Pharma Australia, at the 2024 Self-Care Excellence Awards last night. Our campaign won two prestigious awards: Best Marketing Campaign of a Consumer Healthcare Product - Small Budget and the Self-Care Excellence Award. Thank you, Aspen, for the fantastic partnership and congratulations to everyone involved! See here to view the ad. https://lnkd.in/gPdAEQsN

It was so good to be able to spend time last night with clients, colleagues and friends as we picked up more silverware for our work (although the Gladiator 2 premiere next door did look rather more enticing) at the Communication and Public Relations Australia #GTAs 2024. Congratulations to our Snap Inc. team, the entire Ogilvy Health Australia team and of course the incredible Rachel Stanton on her leadership gong. Giving the iconic Tamarama Beach melanoma is no easy feat but thanks to Andrew Hankin and the creative team at Ogilvy Australia, this evolving sculpture at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi is generating much needed conversation around skin cancer, prevention and early detection of disease. A partnership between Bristol Myers Squibb, La Roche-Posay Laboratoire Dermatologique, Ogilvy Australia and Sculpture by the Sea - ‘The Spot’ – is an artists’ impression of a melanoma cancer, changing size, shape, and colour multiple times throughout the exhibition. With two in three Australians likely to be diagnosed with some form of skin cancer in their lifetime*, ‘The Spot’ is a timely reminder of the importance of prevention and early detection of all skin cancers. Make sure you get down to Tamarama and see it for yourself! Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi runs until 4th November. #BMSAustralia *Source: Cancer Council NSW. Is this art imitating life in this image from Sydney’s Sculptures by the Sea 🤔 For those that don’t know - that’s a sculpture of a huge Melanoma. It will grow and change over the duration of the event to help educate Aussies what to look out for on their own skin. It’s a fab idea from Ogilvy Australia creative duo Andrew Hankin and Andy Cooke made possible by L'Oréal brand La Roche-Posay and Bristol Myers Squibb This weekend Skin Check Champions will be in residence at Tamarama beach providing free skin checks. As seen from this image, the job of helping Aussies to avoid skin cancer is a tough one and needs ongoing focus! #sculpture #melanoma #skincancer #skincancerprevention
