Being able to provide experiences like this one – watching the first Scorchers home match of the season from a suite at Optus Stadium – is what our partnership with What Ability is all about. We're looking forward to continuing our work together this year.
Creating an inclusive world one over at a time, thanks to Optus 🏏🧡 A HUGE shoutout to the incredible team at Optus for hosting an unforgettable evening at Optus Stadium as the Perth Scorchers took on the Melbourne Stars 🤝 Our crew had an absolute blast watching the game from the suite, and to top it off, What Ability athlete Sam Fanning stopped by to say hello after a big Scorchers win! #WhatAbility #HappinessComesFirst #MajorPartners #Optus

After the Black Summer bushfires, we set out to find ways to better protect our towers from extreme weather. We collaborated with the CSIRO National Bushfire Intelligence Capability to assess over 7,000 Optus sites and have since bolstered 40 at-risk locations. The chance that they will be lost during a catastrophic fire has now been reduced by six times. Read more about this project: https://lnkd.in/gArymKNf

As a founding member of the One Generation Business Initiative, Optus is proud to stand alongside Australia’s leading essential service organisations in the fight to end domestic and family violence. Together, we believe we can help end gendered violence within one generation.
"It takes all of us to contribute and create change. Use your power. Use your influence. Be part of the solution. Because it will take every single one of us to stop this horrendous social issue in one generation." – #RosieBatty AO, 2015 Australian of the Year 1 in 4 women in Australia will experience family and domestic violence. Every four days, another woman is murdered. These aren't just statistics – this is a national crisis. We’re proud to announce the launch of One Generation – Australia’s first business alliance against Family and Domestic Violence. The One Generation business initiative is a program of Thriving Communities Australia (TCA), co-founded with social enterprise Flequity Ventures. One Generation brings together major corporations including AGL, EnergyAustralia, Optus, Origin Energy, South East Water, Suncorp Group and Yarra Valley Water to help create safer and more supportive environments for customers impacted by gendered violence. 👇 Watch our launch video below from prominent CEOs and business leaders as they call on corporate Australia to join us in this critical mission. 🔗 Learn more about how your organisation can be part of this movement: https://lnkd.in/gBdAFkMW #OneGeneration #FamilyAndDomesticViolence #OneGenerationBusinessAlliance Ciara Sterling, Emma Martin, Katrina Moore, Pat McCafferty, Catie Moore, Cynthia Gebert GAICD, Catherine Fitzpatrick
