Colmenarez, a top Tampa Bay Rays prospect from Venezuela, brings an impressive skill set both offensively and defensively. At 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, he’s drawn comparisons to a young Asdrúbal Cabrera, thanks to his natural left-handed swing and balanced approach at the plate. With quick hands, bat speed, and growing power, he’s a threat to use all fields and is expected to add even more pop as he matures. Defensively, Colmenarez is just as exciting, showing soft hands, excellent body control, and a strong arm, making him a reliable option at shortstop.
