The Perth Heat is the only team representing the state of Western Australia, and with 15 National Championships (Claxton Shield) to their name, they are the most successful team in the ABL's history. The Perth Heat commands an impressive following of passionate fans, attracting crowds to their thrilling home matches, set in the state-of-the-art Empire Ball Park, located right at the center of WA Baseball in Thornlie.

  • New Recruit Alert! Perth Heat is excited to welcome one of baseball’s rising international stars, Carlos Colmenarez, to our roster for the 2024-25 season! Colmenarez, a top Tampa Bay Rays prospect from Venezuela, brings an impressive skill set both offensively and defensively. At 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, he’s drawn comparisons to a young Asdrúbal Cabrera, thanks to his natural left-handed swing and balanced approach at the plate. With quick hands, bat speed, and growing power, he’s a threat to use all fields and is expected to add even more pop as he matures. Defensively, Colmenarez is just as exciting, showing soft hands, excellent body control, and a strong arm, making him a reliable option at shortstop. His all-around game and potential to grow into an above-average hitter and defender have us looking forward to what he’ll bring to the team! Both players were signed by Tampa Bay during the 2022 International signing period and bring a wealth of talent and potential to the Perth Heat lineup: Angel Luis Mateo Position: Infielder Born: February 13, 2005, in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. A versatile right-handed hitter and thrower with strong defensive skills and a powerful presence on the field. Enderson Eduardo Delgado Positions: Catcher / First Baseman Born: September 21, 2004, in Cabimas, Venezuela A switch-hitter with great hands and a strong arm behind the plate, Enderson also brings power to the lineup as a first baseman.
