📹 Behind the scenes at Petuna 🚢 We’ve been busy in Strahan with the installation of a brand-new 14-pen, 100 x 100 bay grid at our grower lease, Table Head. This setup will house our upcoming 160m fish pens, with stocking planned for April. This is no small task—our Strahan team has worked tirelessly to get everything in place, ensuring it’s ready for the next phase of our operations. A big thanks to Combie Skipper Blake Schumann for capturing this behind-the-scenes look at the installation process. It’s incredible to see the teamwork and precision that goes into preparing for the next chapter of our operations. 🎥 Take a peek behind the scenes to see the hard work and teamwork that goes into projects like this. #BehindTheScenes #AquacultureInAction #Petuna #StrahanOperations #MacquarieHarbour #Tasmania #TasmanianSalmon

In November the Petuna Aquaculture Strahan team completed Mental Health First Aid training through Seafood Industry Australia's Stay Afloat program, reflecting our commitment to a safe and supportive workplace. "Conversations about mental health are crucial. Understanding the signs and symptoms, and knowing how to help someone is an invaluable skill," Strahan Farm Manager Neil Gillies said. The training equipped the team with the skills to identify and respond to mental health challenges. The session, involving the three salmon companies operating in Macquarie Harbour, showcased industry collaboration. To wrap up, the Petuna Aquaculture team hosted a Mental Health BBQ, fostering open conversations, personal connections and destigmatising conversations around mental health. Thank you to Stay Afloat for supporting mental health in the seafood industry! #Petuna #StayAfloat #MentalHealthAwareness #SeafoodIndustryAustralia Hugh Stagg Salmon Tasmania

Today, Salmon Tasmania held their first-ever Breakfast & Salmon Tails event at our Petuna Aquaculture Devonport processing factory—a special celebration to honour and appreciate our incredible team. With catering from the Lions Clubs International of Mersey Devonport, the Petuna team, and the local coffee van, and a fantastic turnout, the event was a wonderful opportunity to come together, reflect on a busy, and celebrate the wonderful people who make up the Tasmanian salmon industry. Salmon Tasmania also recognised Peter and Una Rockliff, Petuna’s founders, for their lifelong contribution to the aquaculture industry and salmon aquaculture in Tasmania, presenting them with “Salmon Champions” vests. Their vision and dedication has helped shape both Petuna and the Tasmanian salmon sector—an honour thoroughly deserved! 👏 A big thank you to Dean Winter MP, Senator Anne Urquhart, Mayor Shane Pitt, Janie Finlay MP, Roger Jaensch MP, Anita Dow MP, and Dr Ian Dutton for spending the morning with us, showing your support for our team and industry, and for standing by our industry. Today was all about celebrating our workers, our founders, and the bright future of Tasmanian aquaculture. 💙 #Petuna #Aquaculture #TeamAppreciation #SalmonTasmania #TasmanianSalmon #Salmon
