  • While we thank our pharmacists every day, we officially mark #ThankYourPharmacistDay💊 annually in March bringing together patients, community leaders and stakeholders from across the health sector to acknowledge the vital work of our pharmacists. From supporting patients with medicine use to lifesaving interventions, pharmacists are stepping up to meet the growing demands of our healthcare system. Whether it’s delivering accessible care for acute illnesses, administering vaccinations, championing Quality Use of Medicines and medicine safety in aged care, or helping patients manage chronic conditions, pharmacists are an increasingly critical part of the health care team. • As our PSA members, you play a vital role in shaping our educational products. You speak, we listen. PSA is constantly developing CPD based off your feedback and insights, to help shape the future of pharmacy. Thanks to you, we've created the Antidepressants in older adults quality improvement (QI) toolkit. This is an interactive, online module through the Quality Use of Medicines Alliance, which supports pharmacists to develop and implement a quality improvement activity at their place of work, focussing on optimising the use of antidepressants in older Australian adults. Resources are tailored for pharmacists working across various practice settings, including community pharmacy, general practice, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Organisations, aged care facilities, and hospitals. Depression affects millions of Australians across all sections of the community, with older Australians being a particularly large cohort prescribed antidepressant medication. If you're interested in improving your practice, find our interactive module here: https://buff.ly/4ag2BhW
