BreastScreen NSW is rolling out Australia’s first population-based screening program to use machine reading technology to support radiologists in interpreting a select range of mammography images. The Digital Health CRC has partnered with the Department of Health and Aged Care and two specialist AI teams within the University of Technology Sydney to create an online tool to help classify different types of AI solutions used in Australian healthcare. Online appointment booking platform vendor Healthengine has launched a new range of online payment features that it says will make managing patient payments easier. Residential aged care provider Signature Care - Residential Aged Care is using its Acredia resident care management system to automatically generate monthly care statements for residents and families, using the software’s capabilities to generate a statement with the push of a button and no extra data input. A consultation document sent to Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora staff shows that in addition to massive job cuts, another restructure is coming to reduce costs and drive efficiency at the beleaguered organisation.
