About us
The safety of children is our highest priority. Did you know there are instances where the QCT can suspend a teacher’s registration if it reasonably believes they pose an unacceptable risk of harm to children? A recent case heard at the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) shows how a teacher’s behaviour outside the school, and not directed at their students, can affect their eligibility for registration. What do you get when you cross a spoodle, a labradoodle, and a groodle with the chance to improve student wellbeing? Indooroopilly State High School's therapy dog program 🐕 Ludo the spoodle (pictured first) joined the staff list at Indooroopilly State High School in 2018, and was soon followed by two other 'oodles championed by Junior School Principal and 2024 TEACHX Award winner Deirdre Hall, and Deputy Principal Sandra Odger.
