The documents were signed with precision and care, In hopes that the funds soon would be there. The clients were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of low rates danced in their heads. And I, in my blazer, with coffee in hand, Had just settled in for one final stand. When out in my inbox there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my laptop to see what was the matter. Away to my email I flew like a flash, Hoping the assessor had found no new clash. The glow of the screen on my weary, tired eyes Gave a luster of hope—a pleasant surprise. When what to my wondering eyes did appear, But a formal approval—finalized! Loud did I cheer! With a little old processor, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment we'd jump every tick. More rapid than eagles, conditions they came, And I whistled and shouted and called them by name: "Now Pay Slips! Now Returns! Now financials too! On Credit Reports and Appraisals—we’re nearly through! To the top of the portal! To the last closing call! Dash away, dash away, we’ll conquer it all! "As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the settlement, the team they all flew, With the file full of docs, and the dream of something new. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the line The prattle of keys—each click was divine. As I drew in my breath and was turning around, Through the phone came their voices, a jubilant sound. The clients, so happy, from ear to ear beamed, Their gratitude poured like the best coffee streamed. A bundle of joy—their keys now in hand, At last, they were owners of their own piece of land. Their eyes—how they twinkled! Their dimples, how merry! Their cheeks were like roses, their smiles like a cherry! Their laughter rang out as they clutched their new keys, Thanking the brokers who brought them such ease. I sprang to my laptop, my work nearly done, But not before celebrating this victory we'd won.
