    This morning started off with a 5am walk in for a new client! Then off to a couple site visits to catch up with our team one final time for the year. It’s always cool to see the the team enjoying the work, building relationships and kicking off a new career. This is what recruitments all about! Couldn’t help but get a quick pic with my guy Matt who hasn’t skipped a beat since starting with one of our DC’s!

    What a night last Thursday at xrecruiter’s first Annual Awards Night! 🩷 The night was an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded, entrepreneurial, and business-driven individuals. Listening to all of your stories was truly inspiring, and it’s so refreshing to be surrounded by such talent. A massive shoutout to Theo Elliott! After only three months of starting Rover Recruitment, he received his first award nomination – what a smashing effort! I’m so proud to be part of the Rover team and can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve in the year ahead. I can tell you already, it’s going to be an absolutely epic 2025. After only two weeks working with Theo Elliott , I couldn’t feel more supported by this amazing community! Whether it’s xrecruiter letting me use their office and cheering me on (even when I’m probably way too loud on the phones 😅) or the Harwell Consulting gang being so welcoming when I’m down the coast – I’m always surrounded by laughs and great energy. Special thanks to Declan Kluver and Blake Thompson for building xrecruiter into what it is today – it wouldn’t be possible without you guys!     Monday morning! Went for a walk for a change. Normally I’m hitting the gym and getting into my day. Today I decided to slow it down, go for a walk, listen to a podcast.     There's something truly inspiring about witnessing the excitement, drive, and growth of a new agency owner. 🚀 One shining example of this is the legend, Theo Elliott, from Rover Recruitment. He has over a decade of experience specialising in the manufacturing industry, previously serving as the national manager of a medium sized recruitment agency. In his first week of business he did over 300 BD calls and placed 17 contractors in the first month of business. If you could bottle up Theo's enthusiasm of wanting to make it to the moon and bring everyone with him, then we should all be buying a crate and stocking up. It's seriously contagious! 💥 He's the blueprint for what good business looks like: working tirelessly, giving selflessly, and inspiring everyone to become the best versions of themselves.     Infinite Delegation…. I’ve been listening to a bit of the ‘ALL IN’ podcast lately. Very intelligent guys and albeit a bit technical for me at times.! In ‘Founder Mode’ they talk about the idea of infinite delegation which is a really interesting concept and I’ve been relating it to some conversations I’ve been having with clients over the past few weeks. Particularly around some of the challenges they are facing around the correlation between proposal and pitch to execution of service in existing supplier relationships. Delegation being important, however execution to a high standard and delivering on what was promised is more so!     Quality breads growth! Recently caught up with Taryn Botes to talk through some modelling for cash flow and best business practice when building a team. One of the three pillars of Rover and what has been drilled into me since first starting in recruitment is around the quality of service delivered. As I’m about to bring on my first consultant this is what I am thinking about as I hire, prioritising quality as we scale the business and service offering!     I recently took a trip back to NZ and decided to go visit my first ever client! This was quite a cool thing for me. Just about to announce that I am starting my own business and going to see the client that helped me learn what good recruitment looks like and why service is essential! I was brand new into recruitment and was asked if I wanted to get involved with a Food production company. 3 shifts, Day, TWL, GY and a large DC, and daily confirmations of up to 75 people. Dozens of departments, management levels and induction steps which I credit to highlighting how you can provide more than just a filled job. First client in recruitment almost 10 years ago and now with my first client started in my own business. Very cool. Enjoy your Friday and make sure you celebrate the wins!!

    🚀 Okay! Its that time, somehow after 3 weeks! 🚀 I am looking for a Recruiter/Account Manager to join me here in Brisbane! I was originally looking to grow the team at the start of next year, however after a big start over the last few weeks, multiple clients already coming on board and clearly huge potential in the market for a service focused business, I am on the hunt! This is not a BD role, so there will be no 50 call a day KPI..... This is a recruitment & Account Management focused position in the industrial blue collar space, Manufacturing & Logistics. I have a high focus on service in every aspect of the business so I am looking for someone who wants to build strong relationships across the industry and the career growth and potential is uncapped. Ultimately for someone wanting to build there skill across the industry, be upskilled across all aspects of recruitment, progress into a senior management role and get involved with a business before it grows across the country, this is the role for you. Ideally looking for someone experienced in the space and remuneration will look anywhere from 80k - 110k. A very competitive remuneration and bonus structure will also be aligned to the base salary and company vehicle available to the right person.
