Today we announced we're building the SEC Renewable Energy Park, Horsham. It’s one of Australia’s first 100% publicly owned utility-scale renewable energy projects. The solar and battery project will help accelerate Victoria's transition to renewable energy and create around 246 jobs through its construction. Once operational in late 2027, the facility will be capable of generating around 242,000 megawatt hours of renewable energy a year – enough to power 51,000 homes.

Our big battery project is helping students discover the diverse and exciting careers on offer in the renewables sector. We were delighted to host our first school visit to the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub. We offered Year 10 students from Melton Specialist School an inside look at the progress we’re making building one of the world’s biggest batteries and showcased the career opportunities Victoria’s renewable energy transition will provide. Thank you to the Centre for Disability Employment Research and Practice Glide In Program for helping make this possible. Equis Australia
