🌍 International Men’s Day 2024 🌟 Today, we celebrate International Men’s Day, a time to acknowledge the positive contributions of men to our families, communities, workplaces, and the world. It’s also a moment to reflect on the importance of supporting the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of men and boys everywhere. This year’s theme, “Positive Male Role Models”, reminds us of the importance of creating spaces where men feel empowered to express themselves authentically, embrace vulnerability, and prioritise their health. Whether it’s through mentorship, advocacy, or simply checking in with a mate, we all play a role in fostering a supportive environment. Let’s also celebrate the men who inspire us – fathers, brothers, uncles, partners, friends, and mentors – who demonstrate kindness, strength, and resilience every day. Here’s to building a future where men are not only appreciated for their contributions but are also empowered to thrive in every aspect of life. #InternationalMensDay #PositiveMaleRoleModels #WellBeing #CelebratingMen

  • 🌱 Celebrating 15 Years of Partnership and Progress! 🌱 As #IndigenousBusinessMonth wraps up, we’re thrilled to also celebrate 15 years of Shine People Solutions — a journey grounded in relationships, partnerships, and community growth. This month, we connected with incredible people at Indigenous Business Connect, Sunshine Coast Council First Nations Supplier Day, a Black Coffee Indigenous Business Network event and the Queensland Department of Education Procurement & Networking session. These events highlighted not only the diverse strengths of Indigenous businesses but also the remarkable work of organisations committed to empowering Indigenous people and closing the employment gap. Together, they’re demonstrating the true impact of partnerships and the power of collaboration in creating meaningful opportunities across sectors. Ways to Engage Indigenous Suppliers and Drive Sustainable Impact: 🔍 Diverse Expertise: Indigenous businesses bring unique skills in IT, consulting, creative services, construction, and more. 🌱 Workforce Enrichment: Collaborating with Indigenous suppliers promotes diversity, inclusion, and cross-cultural learning in your teams. 📦 Supplement Operations: Partnering with Indigenous suppliers for events or projects enhances agility and community impact. 💼 Impactful Procurement: Supporting Indigenous businesses boosts economic empowerment and aligns with social responsibility goals. Practical Steps for Partnering with Indigenous Suppliers: 🔎 Audit Supplier Gaps: Use Indigenous business directories like Supply Nation to identify opportunities. 🗓️ Plan Early: Involve Indigenous suppliers from the start to build meaningful partnerships. 🔁 Talent Pipelines: Develop joint pathways through traineeships or workforce development programs.
