Narrowing it down to just one design can be tough, so we won’t make you do that. While working with The Standard Hotel during the lead up to their opening in Melbourne, we put together a campaign that includes four different designs with multiple layouts - 2x2’s, quads and doubles.

How do you dedicate time, human resource and budget to developing brand for a live music venue and presenting organisation that hosts 450+ events a year that require love and attention and a single-point sensitive, small but mighty marketing team? With great difficulty! ⛔🤕 But when you build a brilliant little team of creative, enthusiastic humans 💡 and you find some brilliant external collaborators 🤝 you can make some magic happen. 🔮 I have wanted to evolve Melbourne Recital Centre’s brand and take it in a more playful, place-centric direction for years now. 🏹 This is the first phase (while we work on a full brand redevelopment and a full website redevelopment behind-the-scenes, with all that spare time we have). 🎵 Using a humble budget, these cross-platform brand campaigns that are currently in-market push the full spectrum of Melbourne Recital Centre’s program and potential to new demos, platforms the voices of our community through their feedback (Google reviews) in everyday contexts and challenges pre-conceptions about the Centre being one dimensional. 🌟 I am very grateful to my dynamic marketing duo Bridgette Le and Sam Leaman for their hard work, creativity and hustle 💛💙 and to Bridge for introducing us to freelance designer Lavinia Puccetti who was delightful to work with and who delivered these campaigns excellently. For a tour announcement as big as Childish Gambino Frontier Touring wanted us to get creative and go BIG! Wanting to create as much impact as possible, we steered away from the usual street poster saturation campaign you might expect for a tour of this size and instead focused on large statement activations that had cross platform sharing potential. As a teaser we ran light projections in Melbourne & Sydney in the hours leading up to the announcement, then hit the streets the next morning, taking over sites across the country and installing large format Megaposters in our busiest sites to catch that all important foot traffic. Yeah, bigger usually is better.

Frontier Touring absolutely dominating the landscape with a takeover for J Balvin at our newest billboard site located opposite the Queen Victoria Markets. Selected for it's proximity to the CBD and destination locations such as the QVM and Melbourne Museum, takeovers at sites such as this deliver incredible impact and reach.
