Celebrating our 2024 Awards for Excellence winner of the Internationally Fabricated Projects category… MakMax Australia for their Link @ Langley - ETFE Atrium project. The architectural vision for the Link @ Langley ETFE Atrium was clear (in more ways than one). The clear purpose was to create a visually striking, yet functional feature skylight element to enhance the appeal of the riverside redevelopment. The aesthetic vision was to have a visually clear atrium roof, to create a sense of open sky, while still protecting patrons and visitors from the elements. The Link@Langley ETFE Atrium not only enhances the visual appeal of the riverside redevelopment but also demonstrates the successful fusion of modern design with practical engineering solutions. Massive in size and scope, the Link@Langley ETFE Atrium structure is 65 meters long and 40 metres wide and sits atop a former office building between seven and eight storeys above the atrium floor. The canopy seamlessly integrates into its surroundings while offering a captivating architectural aesthetic. Fabric used: Fluon P46D16 Supplied by: AGC Components supplied by: Hilti Australia, MPQ plastics, United Fasteners (QLD) p/l, Prorig Hardware PTY LTD, Akzo Nobel PTY LTD Textile Fabrication: In-house #makmaxaustralia #awardsforexcellence #specialisedtextiles #awards #industry #design #manufacturing #textiles #excellence #innovation #quality #australianmade #customshadesails #shade

Australia’s Skills Ministers are looking to reshape the qualifications system to better support the variety of people choosing to engage in vocational education and training. They have tasked all ten JSCs to demonstrate how reform can be achieved and how qualifications could be streamlined by their various purposes. A number of JSCs proposed different qualification reform concepts and collaborated to identify the commonalities between them. With our project to demonstrate reform, we tested a purpose 3 qualification concept on Certificate II in Rural Operations, which aims to help learners attain more transferable skills and capabilities and reduce duplication of learning. Project outcomes have been compiled into a final report that was submitted to the Skills Ministers’ Qualification Reform Design Group at the end of September. ⬇️Read more about Skills Insight's contributions on our website! ⬇️
