🚀 We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone that was recently achieved on the 𝗞𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶 𝗞𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁. A few days ago, the last string section was successfully lowered-in, and the team is now focusing on the final tie-ins. By the end of the week, all 24 kms of the 42-inch high-pressure storage pipeline will be backfilled and the team’s attention will shift to reinstatement and hydrotesting. This achievement brings us one step closer to completing this critical infrastructure project. A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work and commitment. Stay tuned for more updates as we progress towards the finish line! 🛠️ #pipelineconstruction #KKLP #spiecpag #APA

🚀 Exciting times at the 2024 APGA Convention in Adelaide! 🌟 Our own Leigh Smith delivered an insightful presentation on the many challenges and lessons learnt from the construction of the 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 (𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗠) pipeline project on the outskirts of Melbourne. 🔧 The project involved installing a 51km 20” Gas Transmission Pipeline (including 25 crossings), 3 Main Line Valve Stations, as well as an additional 450m pipeline segment between the Scraper Station & Control Valve. As the project progressed the team encountered many challenges, ranging from limited access, cultural heritage, inclement weather, flooding, and particularly rocky ground conditions. From a contractor’s perspective, key take-aways included the critical importance of land access and working collaboratively with clients from project inception to fully understand the risks and avoid additional costs. Leigh’s insights underscore the complexities of pipeline construction and the importance of teamwork and thorough planning. Kudos to the entire WORM project team for their dedication and resilience! 👏 #apgaconvention #pipelineconstruction #worm
