🌟 Exciting News from Splend, securing $300m in new funding! We’re thrilled to announce the closing of our new $300m senior financing facility with Macquarie Group, and proud to be partnering with them to support our ambitious growth plans over the years ahead. 🎉 Since 2015, Splend has grown into the largest combined rideshare financing platform across Australia and the United Kingdom. With this latest milestone, we’re taking the next big step in our journey to further accelerate the rollout of EVs and decarbonise mobility. 🚀 This new facility complements our existing finance partners Clean Energy Finance Corporation and MA Financial Group, and provides us with the balance sheet capacity to deliver on both our near-term target of 10,000 vehicles by the end of 2025 and supporting the rideshare industry’s transition to EVs by 2030. 🌿 A huge thank you to Macquarie Group and the SAF Team (Julian Liddy, Anthony Street) believing in our vision, and of course, the entire Splend team for their efforts in making this milestone possible. 💪 The future of rideshare is electric, and we’re proud to be leading the charge. 🚗⚡ #EV #Sustainability #Rideshare #Innovation #Splend

Launched in 2015, Splend is a tech-enabled vehicle subscription platform offering all-inclusive products to on-demand rideshare and delivery drivers across Australia and the UK. Chris King, Founder and CEO of Splend, was interviewed at the MA Alternatives Summit today by Jaron Yuen, Managing Director of MA Growth Ventures. Chris outlined the rapid rise of rideshare drivers in Australia over the last 10 years and the opportunity this afforded to provide vehicle financing, assisting to drive fundamental change in the way people own and operate rideshare vehicles and accelerate the transition to a sustainable zero emission mobility future. The logistics of EV charging and questions around the limited life-span of batteries were discussed. With transportation responsible for a quarter of all global greenhouse gas emissions, the benefits of electrifying the transport sector are clear for both society and individual firms and the shift to electric vehicles will be central to this transformation.
