  • 🚨 TSS Visa Work Experience Changes Delayed: What You Need to Know The Australian Government announced plans in May to reduce the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa work experience requirement from two years to one, effective 23 November 2024. However, as of today (26 November), no legislative amendments have been made, and the two-year rule remains in effect. During a recent meeting with the Migration Institute of Australia, the Department of Home Affairs confirmed their commitment to launching the Skills in Demand (SID) Visa before the end of 2024. This visa will replace the TSS Visa and is expected to include the one-year work experience requirement. What This Means for Employers and Skilled Migrants 🔍 For Employers: TSS Visa: Continue adhering to the two-year experience rule. Plan for SID Visa: Evaluate how its streamlined processes and new occupation lists could impact your hiring strategies. Decision-Ready Applications: Ensure all applications meet current standards to avoid delays. 📋 For Skilled Migrants: Current TSS Visa: Ensure you meet the two-year work experience requirement. SID Visa Opportunities: Be proactive and stay updated on SID Visa requirements and occupation changes. Strong Documentation: Complete and thorough applications will be critical for success during this transitional period. Stay tuned with Talent on the Move for the latest updates and guidance. 💼✈️ #TSSVisa #SkillsInDemandVisa #WorkExperience #SkilledMigration #AustraliaVisa #TalentOnTheMove

  • RECRUITER IN AUSTRALIA: "What are your salary expectations?" 🚨 Most people struggle with this common interview question—but you don’t have to. Here’s a better approach: When asked, “What are your salary expectations?” many candidates respond with phrases like: “I’m hoping for...” “I’d prefer...” “I’m looking for...” These responses can be problematic because: They come across as tentative. They can make you seem uncertain. They might suggest you’re flexible on pay. Instead, try this: “I’m observing the job opportunities within the [INSERT THE NUMBER] range.” This response is straightforward. Based on research and data. Difficult to argue against. The phrase “I’m observing” presents your expectation as a well-informed fact. Use this strategy in your next interview.

  • Why Relying on Job Ads Alone Won’t Land You the Best Talent Hiring the right people is critical to the success of any business, but if you’re relying only on job ads to fill your roles, you might be missing the mark. 📢 Here’s the reality: While job ads might generate a flood of applications, how many of those candidates truly align with your needs? 95% of them won’t even be close. Sure, you might get lucky—but when it comes to the quality of your workforce, should luck be part of your strategy? The truth is, posting ads is just the beginning of a strong hiring process. If you want to find the right talent, you need to go beyond passive strategies and actively engage talent pools, leverage networks, and partner with specialist recruiters. When these efforts are combined, you’ll: 🔍 Access a wider, more qualified candidate pool Recruiters are already connected to top-tier professionals who aren’t necessarily job-hunting but are open to the right opportunity, some of which might not even be in the country. ⏱ Save time and resources You won’t have to sort through hundreds of irrelevant CVs — your recruiter will handle the heavy lifting and present only the best matches. 🎯 Make more informed hiring decisions Specialist recruiters have deep insights into industry trends, candidate expectations, and cultural fit. This expertise ensures you don’t just hire someone who can do the job but someone who’s the perfect fit for your team and long-term goals. Don’t leave your hiring strategy up to chance. Incorporating external recruitment services can mean the difference between making an average hire and making an exceptional one. #TalentStrategy #RecruitmentSolutions #QualityHires #TalentAcquisition #HiringRight #BusinessGrowth
